This is a scenario YOU may well recognise.
It’s CERTAINLY me!!!
You’re sat with a big pot of coffee at your desk…its 8.22 AM and whatever it is that comes up in that little square box in the next 50 seconds will define your day. There is an anxiety around seeing who got back to you, who bought from you, who cancelled meetings with you, who said what…and what the implications of what those message will be.
During the 50 seconds it takes for the machine to boot, you may pick up the PAPER mail – it may flash through your mind that only 10 years ago that pile would be 8 times bigger than it is now. You scan the envelopes and discard to the waste bin a good proportion of it.
WOW – I so love the CLUNK…and I can hit the basket from a good few yards now to be honest. Something GRATIFYING and CLEARING about sweeping the desk of all paper. Wish clearing the crap from my MIND was as easy…

Do we actually see this magic box full of the wonder and power of the written word for what it really IS – or has it gone into the same mentally barren place the TELEPHONE was thrown??? – The no-where place where a miracle still happens – but we just don’t NOTICE it any more – and what we don’t NOTICE …we don’t truly APPLY ourselves (THE REAL ‘’ourselves’’) to.
