OLDER WOMAN who lives in a shoe…

…(BOX)

HIYA!!!

I’ve been a little “absent” for a week or two, thanks, thanks, THANKS fer yer
MESSAGES asking “where the blog was”.

LITERALLY I’ve been back to back with gigs – LLANDUDNO to LONDON – MANCHESTER
to DONCASTER and back to LEEDS.

BOOK HERE FOR MANCHESTER 18TH JUNE.

I’ve spoken to over two thousand people in that time…maybe more – 650 just last
Friday.

650 people…IN GRAND STYLE – I was the “turn” at the WOMEN OF ACHIEVEMENT
awards at the ROYAL ARMOURIES. What a bloody laugh those women
were…FREAKIN’ HILARIOUS, especially to say a few of those birds had well “A
LIFE they could LEARN FROM”.

Getting back up and punching the living xxxx out their situations made for
BRILLIANT stories… and for sure, they deserved every good thing they had
created.

(SERIOUSLY – what a thing to be in the very PRESENCE of those 49  award
nominees…#SPECIALPRIVELAGE4ME).

When I took to the stage – I FELT LIKE ARETHA FRANKLIN at the O2 ARENA to be
honest with you…GREAT GIG.

(SO, if you book me now -  can I have a 700 seater auditorium and all the
extras that go with it…LILLIES, PUPPIES, KITTENS – AND of course SWEDISH BOYS
in the dressing room, I kind of got used to it).

SO – BACK TO “OLDER WOMAN” who LIVED IN A SHOE…(box)

I stayed in five different hotels in seven days – bloody hell in some it seemed
I curled into a 2″ square (sadly… it left me with a fear of OPEN SPACES)…but
there was just enough room to get the laptop out every night and try get
CREATIVE. HARD when my arms were being restricted by the walls of a very small
box.

Being totally immersed in 10 gigs straight, had me so ON IT that I really
didn’t see ANYTHING but the JOBS, and the people in the middle of each one.

I want to tell you what it’s like when you “instantly connect” with  an
audience – either of 1 person  or 700 people, the number is  irrelevant.

IT MAKES LIFE EASY WHEN YOU HAVE “SOMETHING GOING ON”…private jokes, winks,
‘knowing’…expectation.

Can you get to that point INSTANTLY??? – YES…almost …you HAVE to.

You CAN NOT feel separate to the people in front of you, either in a meeting, a
restaurant or as a speaker.

Modern day business speak does JUST THAT – creates SEPARATION.

No matter HOW short a time you’ve known someone, creating that feeling  of
belonging is a MASSIVE driver for us a part of humanity…and FEW KNOW IT IN A
BUSINESS ARENA.

But in a saturated world…this IS the NEW BUSINESS ARENA

My first “I LOVE YOU…but I don’t know WHY” gig in London was just an ACE day
for all of us, even though I admit –I was off my head on COCODOMOL (that
migraine is a b****stard)…

I don’t remember much. But the experiences of my guests since that day have
been…PROFOUND.

We were “together” in such a way that honestly, I was stood in an X shape by
the door trying to get them not to leave –(they won in the end and had me
removed, but I will never forget them).

Entering the room total strangers and leaving with an unquantifiable connection
to each other…AND we all learned to sell ourselves in a way that before was
unknown.

THERE ARE ONLY SEVEN PLACES LEFT FOR “I LOVE YOU …but
I don’t know WHY’’ in  MANCHESTER 18TH JUNE…[2]BOOK HERE!!! LEEDS is SOLD OUT.

SO – THAT’S ME FOR NOW…I’m away to unpack and watch some telly – but I tell ya
what…my NEXT blog is CONTROVERSIAL – and will have a lot of CLERICS banging my
door down I reckon…so maybe i’ll have the  window latches checked as a
precaution.

SPEAK SOON!!!

Take care until then…

nxxx

And you do this so well! Still never forget you in person.. reaching inside absolutely everyone we met that day in NYC… from doorman to deli cashier. They were mesmerized and you left them staring, like “what just happened?! and who IS she?!” You weren’t even “working,” it’s just you. Brilliant teaser, by the way. Can’t wait for next blog!

Was thrilled to be able to see you perform at the YWOA last Friday and don’t forget there were some guys in the audience and in paticular my cousin Phil from California on his birthday and I am sure it will be a birthday he will always remember and you are bound to be in the memory. Thanks for sharing your story. You were brilliant and I have been wanting to hear you and now I have. Yours in cycling
