Its like having a rocket with no matches…

SO – this morning I met an AMAZING new friend for coffee.

Stephanie.

She heads up 6 brilliant people – 5 women and a man to be a TOP PERFORMING medical insurance sales team.

We all had 2 hours together last week and Stephanie dropped on me unawares by saying ‘’the gig has put THE SPIRIT back into our group, which we will now refer to as ‘’THE MAGNIFICENT 7’’. (Actually – Magnificent 8 on occasions …I’ve been invited back).

I don’t lie when I tell you I was nearly YELLING, sat there – not out of sadness, hormones or the fact I have put 9lbs on since Christmas, but just, well, WOW MY spirit had helped them to re-find THEIR spirit !!!

I don’t smoke, don’t take any drugs, leave off the men, largely and get drunk on one glass of wine (try me one night, my mates LOVE to see me on the karaoke with my dress tucked in the back of my knickers after 1 glass!!!).

But I DO get my adrenaline rushes, find myself and meet my soul from the experience of doing what I DO.

SPIRIT, that’s a RIGHT subject isn’t it??? – You can have all the training, marketing, good intention and, what do they call them? Sales targets – the good people in the office upstairs can knock out for you – but if you don’t have SPIRIT, then well – it’s a bit like having a rocket, but no matches to light the blue touch paper!!!

Like the rocket; looks nice, seems all in order – plenty of fancy words on the side, nice bit of branding and some advertising, it causes a whole load of people to look up to the sky and look up to the sky, and look up to the sky and again look up to the sky until we realise nothings going to happen. So we all well, GO HOME again.

Is that YOU??? – always waiting for something to happen but it never does…’cos you never found the matches? the SPIRIT.

If you’re thinking it’s a made up word with no meaning to inspire or control the masses, can I tell you from experience I felt my Dads spirit leave the room as I held his hand, as he left the planet some years ago and I regularly feel my eldest son, Jackson’s spirit with me as I’m working .

Spirit is very tangible, real and when you see people connected to theirs you know there is something going on that you just can’t ignore.

NOW – If now after reading the bit about my Dad and my son’s spirit you think I’m a LUNATIC … then honestly??? Makes no odds to me – I saw what I saw and I felt what I felt, and I use what I made of it to sell every single day.

Telling you all this does NOT make me feel like a pillock.

I’ve made millions for people and this is just another clue as to how I did JUST THAT, because where as people used to just think I was a mad bird, mild entertainment, good points on occasion but not quite for the hardcore ‘professional business community’ – now everybody’s saying HOW THE FREAK DOES SHE DO THAT AND WHEN CAN WE BOOK HER.

(I told you my time would come!!!).

I finished an event some time ago by saying something that I’d been running through my mind at a difficult time.

‘’Never NEVER let the problems of the world be greater than your SPIRIT’’.

It brought the house down – people recognised the truth.

Your spirit is 100% the strongest most indestructible part of your humanity.

Ok then, how much of your spirit goes into what you DO everyday? Can people even SEE yours – or do you think it’s something not to be’ included in the package’.

That fire in your eyes – that indescribable power, intention and FORCE may well be the reason someone buys from YOU and not the very clever toff from the company down the road.

THERE IS NOTHING without SPIRIT.

MAGGIE THATCHER, JOAN OF ARC, SIMON WESTON, ANDREAS BOTCHELLI…we see their SPIRIT.

Are we any different as lawyers or T-SHIRT retailers???

Insurance sellers or Hoteliers???

Designers or Poets???

Mothers or Husbands???
